Utah State Golfer Tanner Higham Finishes Tied for Ninth at Cal State Fullerton Hosted Folino Invitational

Utah State senior golfer Tanner Higham shot a final round 1-over 73 to finish tied for ninth-place with a 7-over par 223 (76-74-73) at the Cal State Fullerton hosted Folino Invitational held here at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Course at the Industry Hills Golf Club.
Utah State finished the tournament in sixth-place in the nine-team field with a 60-over 924 (308-310-306), while CS Fullerton won the tournament championship with a 1-under 863 (287-285-291). The Titans also had the top individual as Mark Anguiano took medalist honors with a 12-under 204 (66-68-70).
Higham (Shelley, Idaho) began the tournament with a 4-over 76 during his opening round before carding a 2-over 74 during his second 18 holes Monday. Higham then carded a 1-over 73 during his final round Tuesday. For Higham, it is his fourth top-10 finish this season and the 10th of his career.
Sophomore Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) finished the tournament tied for 34th for Utah State with a 17-over 233 (78-77-77), while freshman Braxton Miller (Boise, Idaho) finished tied for 36th with a 19-over 235 (76-78-81). Sophomore Reed Platke (Whitefish, Mont.) finished in 38th-place with a 21-over 237 (78-83-76), and fellow sophomore Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) tied for 41st with a 23-over 239 (79-80-80).
Utah State will return to action on Monday, Mar. 17 when it travels to Primm, Nev., to compete in the South Dakota hosted Jackrabbit Spring Invitational.
