Utah State's Chanse Godderidge Tied for 14th Following First Round of Cal Poly Intercollegiate

Utah State's Chanse Godderidge shot an opening round 76 and is tied for 14th after day one of the Cal Poly Intercollegiate held here Thursday at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
Utah State struggled as team during a wet and windy day and is in eighth-place with a 46-over 334. Cal Poly currently leads the eight-team field with a 4-over 292.
Godderidge, a junior from Smithfield, Utah, shot a 1-over 37 during his first nine holes and then carded a 3-over 39. Sophomore Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) is tied for 28th after shooting an 11-over 83 (47-36), while senior Benjamin Schilleman (Layton, Utah) is tied for 36th with a 15-over 87 (42-45). Junior Austin French (Idaho Falls, Idaho) is currently in 38th-place after shooting a 16-over 88 (45-43), and senior Tyson McFarland (Rexburg) is in 39th-place following an opening round 89 (48-41).
Utah State will conclude the tournament with 18 holes on Friday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
