Utah State Golfers Tied For Sixth-Place Following First Two Rounds of UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -
Sophomore Seokwon Jeon and freshman Braxton Miller are both tied for 14th-place at 2-over par 146 and Utah State's men's golf team is currently in sixth-place with a 14-over 590 (296-294) after the first two rounds of the UC Santa Barbara hosted OGIO Intercollegiate held here Monday at the Sandpiper Golf Club.
Utah State began the day with an 8-over 296 during its first round and then carded a 6-over 294 during its second round for its 14-over 590. UC Santa Barbara leads the 10-team field with a 3-over par 579 (288-291) and Utah's Casey Halliday sits on top of the leaderboard with a 4-under 140 (72-68).
Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) began his day with a 2-over par 74 before firing an even par 72 during his second 18 holes Monday to sit tied for 14th-place with a 2-over 146. Miller (Boise, Idaho) is also tied for 14th-place at 2-over 146 after rounds of 75 and 71.
Senior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) is tied for 31st-place for Utah State at 5-over 149 (75-74), junior Grahm Schmaltz (Kalispell, Mont.) is tied for 39th-place with a 7-over 151 (74-77) and sophomore Reed Platke (Whitefish, Mont.) is tied for 45th-place with a 9-over 153 (73-80).
