Final Results - Battle in the Tetons Get Acrobat Reader

Utah State's Tanner Higham finished tied for sixth-place with an even par 216 after carding a final round 4-under 68 at the Weber State hosted Battle in the Tetons held here at the Headwaters Golf Club at Teton Springs Resort on Monday and Tuesday.

Utah State, who began Tuesday's round in sixth-place, finished fourth in the eight-team field with a 16-over 880 after shooting a 4-under 284 during its final round, which was the second-best round of the day and tied for the third-best round of the tournament. USU began the tournament with a 22-over 310 during its first round, followed by a 2-under 286 in its second round Monday.

Wyoming won the team championship with a 7-under 857 (301-279-277), while the Cowboy's Kamrin Allen took medalist honors with a 6-under 210 (77-66-67).

Higham, a junior from Shelley, Idaho began the tournament with a 3-over 75 before carding a 1-over 73 during his second 18 holes Monday. Higham's 4-under 68 on Tuesday is tied for the second-best round of his career. Overall, Higham has now finished a tournament in the top 10 six times in his Aggie career.

Sophomore Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) also played well for Utah State carding his best-ever collegiate finish as he tied for 10th with a 1-over 217 (75-70-72), which is his career-low 54-hole score. Freshman Eli Rogers (Hamilton, Mont.) finished the tournament tied for 22nd at 7-over 223 (82-70-71). Sophomore Reed Platke (Whitefish, Mont.) tied for 42nd at 20-over 236 (78-81-77), and junior Grahm Schmaltz (Kalispell, Mont.) also tied for 42nd-place at 20-over 236 (90-73-73).

Utah State will continue its fall schedule this Sunday and Monday, Sept. 8-9 when it competes in the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
