Utah State's Seokwon Jeon Tied for Eighth Following First Two Rounds at Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

Utah State's Seokwon Jeon is currently tied for eighth-place with a 1-under 143 after the first two rounds of the U.S. Air Force Academy hosted Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational held here Sunday on the Blue Course at Eisenhower Golf Club.
Utah State currently sits in 13th-place in the 16-team field with a 15-over 591 after shooting an 8-over 296 during its first round, followed by a 7-over 295 in the second round. Heading into the final round Monday, USU is just nine shots out of fourth-place as 11 of the 16 teams in the field are separated by just 10 strokes.
Air Force has a 12 shot lead on the field after the first two rounds with a 13-under 563 (278-285), while the Falcons Kyle Westmoreland sits atop the leader board after rounds of 67 and 68 for a 9-under 135.
Jeon, a sophomore from Salt Lake City, Utah began the tournament with a 2-under 70 before carding a 1-over 73 during his second 18 holes. Senior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) is tied for 18th with a 1-over 145 (71-74). Junior Grahm Schmaltz (Kalispell, Mont.) is tied for 56th-place with a 7-over 151 (77-74), freshman Eli Rogers (Hamilton, Mont.) is tied for 65th at 8-over 152 (78-74), and sophomore Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) is in 85th-place at 16-over 160 (81-79).
Teams will tee off on Monday, September 9 in the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational beginning at 7:30 a.m.
