Utah State's Tanner Higham Tied for Third Following First Two Rounds at Air Force Invitational
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
Utah State's Tanner Higham is currently tied for third-place with a 4-under 140 and is just one shot off the lead after the first two rounds of the U.S. Air Force Academy hosted Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational held here at the Eisenhower Blue Golf Course Sunday.
Utah State is currently tied for 11th-place in the 16-team field with a 20-over 596 following rounds of 299 and 297. Colorado has a five shot lead on the field with a 9-under 567 (281-286), while the Buffaloes' Jason Burstyn and Air Force's Kyle Westmoreland both sit atop the leader board at 5-under 139.
Higham, a junior from Shelley, Idaho carded identical rounds of 2-under 70 during the first day of competition. Freshman Reed Platke (Whitefish, Mont.) is tied for 40th at 5-over 149 (74-75), freshman Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) is tied for 57th with an 8-over 152 (79-73), senior Kris Sayer (Idaho Falls, Idaho) is tied for 69th with an 11-over 155 (76-79), and freshman Will Higham (Shelley, Idaho) is tied for 85th-place with a 19-over 163 (81-82).
Teams will tee off on Monday, September 10 in the final round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational beginning at 8:30 a.m.
