Utah State's Reed Platke Tied For 15th Following First Two Rounds of Boise State Hosted Dash Thomas Memorial

MERIDIAN, Idaho - Dash Thomas Memorial - Day One Results Utah State's Reed Platke is currently tied for 15th-place with a 1-over 143 after the first two rounds of the Boise State hosted Dash Thomas Memorial held here Monday at the The Club at SpurWing. Utah State currently sits in fifth-place in the 13-team field with a 13-over 581 (297-284). Washington State has a two-shot lead after the first two rounds with a 7-under 561 (286-275), while Utah Valley's Mason Casper sits atop the leader board after rounds of 66 and 69 for a 7-under 135. Platke, a freshman from Whitefish, Mont., began the tournament with a 3-over 74 and then carded a season-best 2-under 69 during his second 18 holes to sit tied for 15th with a 1-over 143. Fellow freshman Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) is tied for 23rd with a 3-over 145 after rounds of 78 and 67, as that 4-under 67 is the lowest round by an Aggie golfer this year. Junior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) is tied for 44th with a 7-over 149 (70-79), senior Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) is tied for 54th with an 8-over 150 (75-75), and fellow senior Kris Sayer (Idaho Falls, Idaho) is in 56th-place with a 9-over 151 (78-73).
