Utah State Golfers in First-Place Following First Two Rounds of Utah Invitational

Utah State's golf team is currently in first-place at the Utah Invitational after shooting a 6-over par 716 (355-261) during the first two rounds of the nine-team tournament held here at The Jeremy Golf & Country Club.
Utah State currently holds a three shot lead on UTEP (352-367) and Northern Colorado (363-356) who both finished Monday's two rounds with a 9-over 719. The Miners' Frederik Dreier is tied for first-place following a 5-under 137 (69-68) along with Utah's Jonathon Thomas (69-68) and Boise State's Ty Travis (69-68).
Utah State sophomore Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) is currently tied for fourth with a 4-under 138 as he began the tournament by tying his collegiate low round of 67 to go along with an even par 71 during his second round. Fellow Aggie sophomore Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) is currently tied for 12th-place with a 1-under 141 as he fired a collegiate-best 71 during his first 18 holes and then bettered that with a 70 during his second round of the day.
Utah State senior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) is currently tied for 14th-place with an even par 142 (70-72), while junior Grahm Schmaltz (Kalispell, Mont.) is tied for 35th with a 6-over 148 as Schmaltz tied his collegiate-low round of 70 during his first 18 holes before carding an 8-over 78 during his second round of the tournament. Freshman Braxton Miller (Boise, Idaho) is tied for 42nd with a 12-over 152 (77-75) and freshman Dylan Cramer (Bend, Ore.) is tied for 53rd-place at 16-over 156 (81-75) as teams can play six players and count five scores during the tournament.
Tee times for the final round of the 2013 Utah Invitational will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m., and USU will compete against players from UTEP and Northern Colorado.
