Utah State Golfer Seokwon Jeon Finishes Tied For 15th at Cal State Northridge Hosted Bill Cullum Invitational

Utah State's Seokwon Jeon recorded his collegiate low 54-hole score with a 2-over 218 and matched his best-ever collegiate finish as he tied for 15th-place at the Cal State Northridge hosted Bill Cullum Invitational held here at the Wood Ranch Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Utah State finished in 11th-place in the 20-team field with a 32-over 896 (301-299-296). San Diego won the tournament by nine shots with a 9-under 850 (288-279-283), while Arizona State's Jon Rahm Rodriquez took medalist honors after rounds of 72, 65 and 67 for a 12-under 204.
Jeon, a freshman from Salt Lake City, had rounds of 72 and 71 on Monday before carding a 3-over 75 during his final 18 holes Tuesday to tie for 15th-place with a 2-over 218. Junior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) tied for 19th-place with a 4-over 220 (74-78-68) as he fired a season-best 6-under 68 on Tuesday during his final round. Freshman Reed Platke (Whitefish, Mont.) tied for 48th-place with a 10-over 226 (75-72-79), senior Kris Sayer (Idaho Falls, Idaho) tied for 79th-place with a 17-over 233 (80-78-75), and senior Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) finished in 97th-place with a 24-over 240 (81-81-78).
The Bill Cullum Invitational concludes Utah State's fall schedule. USU will return to action on Feb. 11, 2013 when it travels to St. George, Utah to compete in the Southern Utah hosted Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational.
