
Devin Daniels Leads Aggie Golfers To Seventh-Place Finish At Bill Cullum Invitational

Senior Devin Daniels finished third individually with an eight-under par 208 to help Utah State's men's golf team finish in seventh-place out of 11 teams at the Cal State Northridge hosted Bill Cullum Invitational held here Monday and Tuesday. USU finished with an 18-over 882 with rounds of 291, 297 and 294.
In four tournaments this fall, Utah State has finished in the top 10 each time with a pair of seventh-place finishes, a ninth-place finish, and a 10th-place finish.
CS Northridge won the team title with an 11-under 853 (276-284-293), while Loyola Marymount finished second with a nine-under 855 (290-279-286). Arizona State's Tristan Bierenbroodspot claimed top individual honors as he fired a 10-under 206 with rounds of 66, 69 and 71.
Daniels, a senior from Hyde Park, Utah, had rounds of 71, 68 and 69 to finish just two shots out of first-place as he recorded 15 birdies during the two-day tournament and shot a tournament best 10-under on the par fives.
Senior Tyler Labrum (Roosevelt, Utah) was Utah State's second-best finisher as tied for 30th with a five-over 221 (71-76-74). Senior Toph Peterson (Logan, Utah) carded a seven-over 223 (72-76-75) to finish tied for 34th, while sophomore Tyson McFarland (Rexburg, Idaho) finished tied for 55th with a 14-over 230 (77-77-76). Sophomore Benjamin Schilleman (Layton, Utah) also competed for USU and finished tied for 72nd with a 23-over 239 (79-83-77).
The Bill Cullum Invitational concludes the fall portion of Utah State's schedule.
