Aggie Golfers Continue 2014 Spring Season at Cal State Fullerton Hosted Folino Invitational

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's golf team will continue its 2014 spring season on Monday, Feb. 17 at the Cal State Fullerton hosted Folino Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Course at the Industry Hills Golf Club in City of Industry, Calif. The course will play at par-72 over the 7,211-yard layout.
Joining Utah State in the nine-team field will be British Columbia, CSU Bakersfield, Cal Baptist, Grand Canyon, Rutgers, Sacramento State, UC Irvine and host Cal State Fullerton.
During its first tournament of the spring season, Utah State finished tied for fourth in the 10-team Southern Utah hosted Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational with an 8-over 584 (297-287). Jeon led USU with a 4-under 140 (70-70) to tie for third overall, while Higham tied for 10th with a 1-under 143 (73-70), Miller tied for 34th with a 7-over 151 (77-74), Platke tied for 37th with an 8-over 152 (79-73) and Coburn tied for 45th with a 10-over 154 (77-77).
Jeon leads Utah State with a stroke average of 71.129 over 17 rounds this year, while Higham has a stroke average of 72.06 over 17 rounds as well. Miller has a stroke average of 76.25 over eight rounds, Coburn has a stroke average of 76.71 over 14 rounds, and Platke has a stroke average of 77.60 over five rounds this year.
At the 2013 Cal State Fullerton hosted Folino Invitational, Utah State finished in sixth-place with a 46-over 910 (309-305-296). Individually, Higham tied for sixth with a 3-over 219 (75-73-71), Jeon tied for 20th with a 12-over 228 (78-78-72) and Platke tied for 22nd with a 13-over 229 (77-79-73).
