Utah State's Andrew Paulson has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for February 27-March 4 it was announced by the league office Tuesday.
It is the first time in his career that Paulson has won a WAC golfer of the week or month award.
Paulson, a freshman from Sandy, Utah (Brighton HS), tied for 23rd-place with an 8-over par 224 (74-74-76) at the Washington State hosted Snowman Getaway held last week in Goodyear, Ariz.
Utah State finished in seventh-place out of 16 teams during the tournament with a 34-over 898 (301-305-292).
Utah State returns to action on Thursday, Mar. 22 when it travels to Arroyo Grande, Calif., to compete in the Cal Poly Intercollegiate.
