LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's golfer Seokwon Jeon has been named the America First Credit Union Utah State Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 13, in an award that is voted on by a state-wide media panel.

Jeon, a sophomore from Salt Lake City, Utah, finished tied for fourth-place with a 4-under 206 (71-72-63) to help Utah State finish in 11th-place out of 21 teams at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic held last week in Scottsdale, Ariz. Jeon carded a collegiate-low 7-under 63 during his final round to tie his collegiate-best 54-hole score with his 4-under 206, matching the 206 he shot at the Utah Invitational last fall to win that tournament. The 7-under 63 by Jeon is the best round by an Aggie golfer since Brendon Ehlers carded an 8-under 63 at the Boise State hosted Bronco Roundup in 2005.

The golf team continues its spring season this week competing in the OGIO-UCSB Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, April 14-15 at the Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif.
