Aggie Golfers Head To Provo Friday and Saturday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's golf team will return to action when it competes in the annual BYU Cougar Classic in Provo, Utah on Friday and Saturday, April 20th and 21st. The Aggies have not played since the Custa Vista Intercollegiate in Arroyo Grande, Calif. March 29-30.
USU's fivesome will include seniors Preston Otte and Jake Blair, junior Jeremy Pack, and sophomores Devin Daniels and Brandon Broadhead. The tournament will take place at Riverside Country Club with 36 holes on Friday and the final round on Saturday.
Otte leads the team with a 74.60 scoring average and has been the team's top finisher in two of three spring tournaments. He tied for 11th at the Southern Utah Pat Hicks and tied for 23rd at the Cuesta Vista event.
Daniels is second on the team with a 75.70 average, while Blair is third at 76.75. Daniels was USU's second-best finisher in the last tournament, tying for 3rth overall, while Pack was right behind tying for 42nd.
Last year at BYU's tournament, the Aggies finished 15th. Otte tied for 38th, closing with a 69, to lead the team's effort. Blair was the only other current Aggie to compete and he tied for 78th with a 74 in the final round.
This is the final regular season tournament for USU, which will then compete at the WAC Championships in Reno, Nev., April 30-May 2.
