Utah State Golfers To Compete In BYU Hosted PING Cougar Classic This Weekend

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's golf team will continue its spring schedule this weekend as it travels to Provo to compete in the PING Cougar Classic on Friday and Saturday, April 27-28. The two-day tournament, hosted by BYU, will be held at the Riverside Country Club in Provo.
The 54-hole tournament will begin with two rounds on Friday, while the final 18 holes will be played on Saturday. The Riverside Country Club is a par-72 course with a total yardage of 7,142.
Joining Utah State in the eight-team field will be Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Southern Utah, UNLV, Wyoming and host BYU.
Competing for the Aggies will be senior Chanse Godderidge (Smithfield, Utah), junior Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah), sophomore Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) and freshmen Tanner Jenson (Parker, Colo.) and Andrew Paulson (Sandy, Utah).
Higham currently leads Utah State with a stroke average of 75.29 in 17 rounds, followed by Coburn (75.30), Jenson (75.48), Godderidge (75.87), Paulson (76.00), Lunsford (76.00) and Dennis (77.79).
In its last outing, Utah State finished in 23rd-place with a 45-over 885 (287-289-309) at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic as Higham finished tied for 57th with a 5-over par 215 (66-68-81).
Utah State finished tied for 15th-place with a 24-over 888 (295-302-291) at last year's PING Cougar Classic as Dennis finished 89th with a 15-over 231 (78-77-76) and Godderidge tied for 90th with a 16-over 232 (76-76-80).
