Utah State Golfers Earn Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar Honors

LOGAN, Utah - A pair of Utah State golfers were tabbed Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars, it was recently announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Tanner Jenson and Eli Rogers were among 260 Division I golfers to earn All-America Scholar accolades from Cleveland Golf/Srixon. A total of 14 student-athletes from the Mountain West were included in that total.

Jenson, a native of Parker, Colo., played 29 rounds for the Aggies during the season and was the top finisher for USU in three tournaments, including a sixth-place finish at the Bill Cullum CS Northridge Invite, where he shot a 7-under 209 (70-68-71). Jenson’s best appearance came at the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invite, where he shot an 8-under 208 (73-69-66) en route to an eighth-place finish.

Jenson graduated from Utah State in May with a degree in finance and carried a GPA of 3.65.

Rogers, a native of Hamilton, Mont., also played 29 rounds this past season and finished second on the team at the OGIO Utah Invite and the Bill Cullum CS Northridge Invite. His best showing came at the Pat Hicks Southern Utah Invite, where he shot a 1-over 145 (70-75) and his best finish came at the OGIO Utah Invite, where he shot a 4-over 146 (71-75), finishing 13th overall.

Rogers also graduated from USU in May, completing a degree in pre-physical therapy with a GPA of 3.53.

Jenson and Rogers earned All-American Scholar honors for the second consecutive year and paired the recognition with academic all-Mountain West and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete accolades awarded earlier this year.
