Aggie Golfers Continue Fall Season at Utah Invitational

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's golf team will continue its fall season on Monday, Oct. 7 at the Utah Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be held at The Jeremy Golf and Country Club in Park City, Utah.
The tournament, which gets underway at 9 a.m. Monday morning, will play at par-71 over the 7,130-yard layout. Teams will play two rounds Monday and the final round Tuesday.
Joining Utah State in the nine-team field is Boise State, Cal State Bakersfield, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, UTEP, Utah Valley, Westminster College and host Utah.
Scheduled to compete for the Aggies is senior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho), junior Grahm Schmaltz (Kalispell, Mont.), sophomores Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) and Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah), and freshmen Dylan Cramer (Bend, Ore.) and Braxton Miller (Boise, Idaho) as the Utah Invitational allows six players to compete for each team, counting five individual scores each day.
In its last competition, Utah State finished in fifth-place out of 12 teams at the Boise State hosted Dash Thomas Memorial with a 15-over 867 (287-283-297) as Higham took medalist honors with a collegiate-best 8-under 205 (71-67-67).
Thus far in 2013, Jeon leads Utah State with a stroke average of 71.67, followed by Higham (71.89), redshirt freshman Eli Rogers (75.00), Schmaltz (75.78), Miller (76.67), Coburn (77.33) and sophomore Reed Platke (78.66). Cramer will be competing for the first time in his collegiate career this weekend.
