
Men's Golf Plays In Final Event Of The Fall Season This Weekend

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's golf team will conclude its 2007 fall schedule this weekend when it travels to Palm Springs, Calif., to participate in the Agua-Caliente Air Force Academy Collegiate Invitational. The 54-hole tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 10-11 at the Palm Springs Indian Canyons Golf Resort. The par-72, 6,550-yard course is nestled next to the San Jacinto Mountains and has four large lakes positioned throughout the course. Play will begin on Saturday with two rounds, the first starting beginning at 7:30 a.m. The final 18-holes will be played Sunday also beginning at 7:30 a.m. The 10-team field consists of Air Force, Air Force Blue, Colorado State, Denver, Hartford, Northern Iowa, Southern Utah, Utah State, Utah Valley State and Weber State. Competing for the Aggies will be juniors Brandon Broadhead (Brigham City, Utah), Devin Daniels (Smithfield, Utah) and Jeremy Pack (Salt Lake City, Utah), along with freshmen Tyler Labrum (Roosevelt, Utah) and Toph Peterson (Logan, Utah). Daniels leads the Aggies this year with an 18-hole scoring average of 73.6. Broadhead, Labrum, Pack and Peterson have scoring averages of 79.1, 77.5, 78.2 and 77.2 respectively.
