Jan. 24, 2005
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Brad Ferguson walked away with the lone victory for the Utah State men's tennis team on Monday night as they fell to the Utah Utes, 6-1. Ferguson beat Ute Rian Rifkin for the No. 6 spot in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 10-7. "Brad did a good job tonight," said Utah State head coach Christian Wright. "He played a rough match, but he hung in there." At the Nos. 1 and 2 singles both Joao Pinho and Hannes Schenk took their second set 7-5 before losing the match. "There were some close matches," said Wright, "but ultimately we just made too many mistakes." The Aggies play again at Idaho State on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
