USU Men's Tennis Defeated by Northern Arizona, 4-3, Friday
Feb. 9, 2008 LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Utah State's men's tennis fell, 4-3, to Northern Arizona Friday in Las Cruces, N.M. The Aggies drop to 1-4 on the season as NAU improves to 1-3. NAU took the doubles point winning in all three doubles matches. In singles action the Aggies battled back. Freshman Jakob Asplund won at No. 1 singles 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 while teammate sophomore Oscar Ericsson defeated NAU's Jeff Morys, 7-5, 6-2, at No. 2 singles. Senior Jonas Tyden won his No. 4 match, 7-6, 6-3 against the Lumberjacks' Davie Flodberg. Junior Matt Braithwaite saw his first action as an Aggie, losing at No. 6 singles to NAU's Jacob Tracy, 6-2, 7-5. The Aggies continue action in Las Cruces, N.M., Saturday, Feb. 9, when they take on Idaho at 1:30 p.m.
