USU Men's Tennis Suffers, 6-1, Loss To Host New Mexico State Sunday
Feb. 10, 2008 LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Utah State men's tennis was defeated by New Mexico State, 6-1, Sunday at the Las Cruces Tennis Center. USU fell to 1-6 on the season, while NMSU improves to 3-2 overall. New Mexico State took the doubles point winning at the No. 2 and 3 spot. Senior Jonas Tyden and freshman Jakob Asplund won their No. 1 doubles match, 8-3, against NMSU's Gustave Diep and Jim Brouleau. Oscar Ericsson tallied the lone point for Utah State at No. 2 singles, defeating Jim Brouleau, 6-3, 3-6, 4-0 (ret.). USU continues action Wednesday, Feb. 13 against Weber State in their first home match of the season. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. and will be held at the Sports Academy and Raquet Club.
