USU Men's Tennis Falls 4-3 To Eastern Washinton Saturday

LogAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis split the singles matches, but lost the doubles point to Eastern Washington resulting in a hard fought 4-3 loss Saturday.
The Aggies took three singles points with Jonas Tyden winning over Eastern Washington's Keithan Gregg, 6-1, 7-6, at the number three position. Winning the number five point for USU was Fernando Gallegos, 6-2, 6-1, while Mike Banks won his number six point in a quick 6-0, 6-2. Banks is now 6-2 overall at number six singles. This was the first outdoor match for USU.
After this vocal loss the Aggies fell to 4-5 on the season.
"I have never heard anyone question our guys like they did," head coach Christian Wright said, "our men fought hard and with good sportsmanship."
Team captain Hannes Schenk said, "Eastern Washington's behavior was not acceptable. Good luck to them with behavior like that."
The Aggies' next action will be March 30, against Sonoma in Reno, Nevada at 1 p.m.
