Utah State Men's Tennis Loses at No. 48 Boise State, 7-0, Friday

BOISE, Idaho - Utah State men's tennis fell, 7-0, at No. 48 Boise State to drop to 5-9 overall for the spring season. Senior Sven Poslusny and sophomore Matt Sweet were the only Aggies to win a match as they defeated Andy Bettles and Nathan Sereke, 8-5, at the first doubles position.
In singles action, Poslusny fell to Andy Bettles in straight sets in the No. 1 spot (6-1, 6-1). At the No. 2 spot, junior Fredrik Peterson was defeated by Nathan Sereke in straight sets (6-3, 6-3). At the No. 3 spot, Sweet was defeated in straight sets by Thomas Tenreiro (6-0, 6-2). At the No. 4 spot, sophomore Marcus Fritz lost to Garrett Patton in straight sets (6-2, 6-2). At the No. 5 spot, sophomore Sean Levesque was taken down by Toby Mitchell in straight sets (6-2, 7-5). And at the No. 6 spot, sophomore Curran Wearmouth was defeated by Brian Foley in a super tie-breaker (6-3, 4-6, 10-7).
In other doubles action, Peterson and Levesque were taken down by Mitchell and Aidan Reid, 8-2, at the second position and junior Andrew Whiting and partner Fritz fell at the third position to Freddy Walsh and Foley, 8-4.
