Utah State Men's Tennis Advances Two to the Singles Finals at the Utah Intercollegiate

Wearmouth advanced with a win over the bracket's top seed, BYU's Nikki Rae (7-6, 6-2), while Whiting captured a three-set victory over the bracket's second seed, BYU's Jeremy Bourgeois (3-6, 6-4, 6-3). The pair of Aggies are set to square off Saturday in the finals of the White Draw.
In the White Draw consolation bracket, freshman Dylan Harlow lost to Utah's Justin Archer (7-6 (6), 6-3) to take seventh place in the draw.
In the Red Draw consolation bracket, Utah's Cedric Willems defeated Matt Sweet (6-3, 6-3). Sweet will play BYU's Jacob Sullivan Saturday for seventh place.
The Aggies earned a win in the doubles draw when the team of Wearmouth and Harlow defeated BYU's Rae and Juan Canales (8-5), however Wearmouth and Harlow then fell to BYU'S Bourgeois and Matt Pearce (8-3). Sweet and Whiting lost both their doubles matches, falling to Utah's Slim Hamza and Devin Lane (8-6), and Utah's Cameron Lee and Willems (8-4).
