Andrew Whiting Wins White Draw Over Teammate Curran Wearmouth at Utah Intercollegiate

LOGAN, Utah - Senior Andrew Whiting captured the second tournament championship for the Utah State men's tennis team this fall with a win in the finals of the White Draw at the Utah Intercollegiate Tournament in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Whiting defeated teammate Curran Wearmouth in the championship matchup in the White Draw in a match that took all three sets (2-6, 7-5, 7-5). Whiting finished the tournament with three singles wins.
Whiting's bracket championship comes a week after freshman Sebastian Schneider won the Orange Flight at the Dar Walters Tennis Classic in Boise, Idaho.
In the Red Draw consolation round, junior Matt Sweet captured a victory over BYU's Jacob Sullivan (6-3, 6-0).
Utah State men's tennis is back in action Wednesday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championship in Las Vegas, Nev.
