Sean Levesque Earns Two More Wins at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championship

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - At the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championship in Las Vegas, Nev., Aggie junior Sean Levesque earned two wins in the singles consolation bracket.
Levesque started the day in the round of 32, and defeated former Western Athletic Conference foe New Mexico State's Thomas Douglas (6-4, 6-3), while junior Matt Sweet lost to Northern Arizona's Fabio Tomasetti in a close, three-set match (6-4, 4-6, 6-3).
Levesque then faced Boise State's Abe Hewko in the consolation singles round of 16, where he earned his second win of the day (6-3, 2-6, 7-5).
In the main doubles bracket, the two remaining Aggie teams were knocked out of the tournament. The team of freshmen Dennis Baumgartner and Sebastian Schneider lost to New Mexico's Rodolfo Juaregui and Hayden Sabatka (8-3), while UNLV's team of Ace Matias and Denys Pume defeated Sweet and senior Andrew Whiting.
Levesque will face Utah's Cedric Willems in the consolation draw quarterfinals Saturday.
