LAS VEGAS -

In the third day of action at the men's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Mountain Region Championships, the Aggies competed in the double main draw and singles and doubles consolation.

In singles consolation, sophomore Curran Wearmouth defeated Scott Bohne of BYU (0-6, 6-4, 6-4), while junior Matt Sweet was taken down by Slim Hamza of Utah (6-4, 6-0).

Junior Brandon Nielsen and junior partner Fredrik Peterson were eliminated by Travis Fillmore and Francis Sargeant of BYU (8-6) in the third round of doubles play.

In doubles consolation, Wearmouth and his partner freshman Zeno Kastelic advanced over Preben Bjorne and Alex Clinkenbeard of Denver who withdrew due to injury. Sophomore Tanner Dance and sophomore Matt Sweet were defeated by Moez Charqui and Andrew Poustie of Nevada (8-1).

The Aggie men will continue to compete from Las Vegas throughout the weekend.
