LOGAN, Utah -- Utah State's men's tennis team will open the spring season on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Idaho State. Tuesday's match will start at 1:30 p.m. (MT).

Coming off a tough fall schedule, the Aggies are hoping to start the spring season off right and see similar success to last spring where they finished with an overall record of 12-11, with a record-breaking 6-0 record at home.

With a solid crew of seven returning players as well three freshmen, the Aggies are excited and optimistic about the season. Led by seniors Nate Ballam and Lenny Whiting, along with junior Sven Poslusny, the team is ready to go.

Following the trip to Idaho, USU will head to Las Cruces, N.M., where they will take on Western Athletic Conference foe New Mexico State on Friday, Jan. 20. The next day, they will face Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The first home match will be Thursday, Feb. 2 at noon, when the Aggies take on Montana State at the Sports Adademy and Racquet Club.
