USU Men's Tennis Heads To Idaho State Friday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis team heads to Pocatello, Idaho for a match against the Idaho State Bengals Friday, February 23, at 1:30 pm.
Last year when the Bengals and the Aggies met, the Aggies suffered a close, 4-3, loss. USU is currently 1-2 on the season. Idaho State lost to Weber State last week falling to a 1-5 record on their season. The Bengals have a young team with only two seniors, one junior and five freshmen.
Last week USU's Mike Banks won the WAC Tennis Player of the Week after winning both his doubles and singles matches against Weber State. Banks increased his recorded to 2-1 in both singles and doubles. Junior Jonas Tyden won the number six singles point against the Bengals last year.
The Aggies' next action will be March 2-3, at Bozeman Mont for a two-day tournament. USU is scheduled to play Montana State on March 2 and Gonzaga on March 3 times are TBA.
