Utah State Men's Tennis Travels to Boise, Idaho For Two Matches This Weekend

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's tennis team (7-7, 0-1 MW) is set to travel to Boise, Idaho for matches against Montana (3-6, 2-0 Big Sky) on Saturday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. (MT), and Marquette (9-6, 0-0 Big East) on Sunday, March 23 at 12:00 p.m. (MT). This is the second time the Aggies will face Montana this season after a 5-2 win in Logan on Jan. 31.
Against Montana earlier this season, the Aggies swept the doubles points as junior Marcus Fritz and freshman Dennis Baumgartner were partners, while junior Matt Sweet and freshman Sebastian Schneider worked together. The third doubles victory belonged to the tandem of senior Andrew Whiting and junior Sean Levesque. In singles, Baumgartner, Fritz, Schneider and Whiting all earned victories for the Aggies.
Montana is lead by Semion Branzburg with seven wins in singles and Tomasz Soltyka with six singles victories. The Grizzlies are in the middle of a three-match losing streak.
Marquette has been in and out of the top-75 nationally ranked teams this season and are coming off two losses to Utah and UNLV, two common opponents with Utah State. The Golden Eagles are lead by Dan Mamalat with 10 singles wins during dual match play and two players with nine.
