2004 SEASON (R-So.) - Played in 23 games and started the final 18 at the power forward position before missing USU's final four games with a broken thumb... Averaged 5.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game... Tallied the second-highest field-goal percentage on the team at 48.9... Scored in double-figures three times on the season, including a season-high 12 points against IP-Fort Wayne... Swatted a team-high 31 shots, while finishing second in the Big West at 1.35 blocks per game... Her 31 blocks placed her third on Utah State's season blocked-shots list... Was just three blocks shy of surpassing Candy Cashell (33, 1984) for second place on the Utah State single-season blocked shot record list... Tallied a career-high nine rebounds three times... Recorded a season-high in assists (2) at CS Northridge and played a season-high 30 minutes against Northern Colorado. 2003 SEASON (RS) - Redshirted her first year at Utah State. DIXIE STATE COLLEGE (2002) - As a freshman at Dixie State, she led the team in rebounds in a game 11 times, reaching a season-high 11, three times... On Nov. 30, 2001, she recorded a double-double, scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds... Was a two-time Dixie State athlete of the week... Played on the 2002 regional championship team... Received both an art and basketball scholarship to attend Dixie. HIGH SCHOOL - Earned four letters in basketball as a center at Pine View High School... Set the Utah girls high school state record in blocked shots in a season in 2001 (145) and in a career (375)... Earned all-state honors in 1999 and 2000... Named the Deseret News' 3A Player of the Year in 2001... Started and was captain of the 2001 3A state championship team... Also was a three-year letterwinner in volleyball and was named all-state in 2001. PERSONAL - Graphic design and art education major... Enjoys all kinds of art, especially drawing... Also likes to spend time outdoors... The daughter of Jack and Jackie Freeman... Born Dec. 18, 1982... Is the oldest of three children and has a sister, Danielle, and a brother, Derrick... Chose Utah State because of the graphic design program and the close community atmosphere. |
