THIS SEASON: Comes to USU as the only player with Division I experience... Likes to play a fast-paced up-tempo game... A guard that can drive or pull-up and shoot... A leader both on and off the court... Transferred to USU from the University of Buffalo following her sophomore season. UNIVERSITY OF BUFFALO (2001-02): A two-year starter and 2002 co-captain, Buffalo was 28-28 in her two years... Started 50 of the 53 games she played and averaged nearly 30 minutes per game... As a sophomore, averaged 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists... Led UB in assists her sophomore year... Was a MAC East Player of the week and an all-Academic selection as a sophomore. HIGH SCHOOL: Won four letters at Hastings High School... Averaged 14.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.5 steals per game as a senior... Also shot 83 percent from the line as a senior... Was named all-district and all-conference three years... Was selected to the all-state team as a senior and earned honorable mention honors as a junior... Two-time team MVP and best defensive player... Was National Honor Society president. PERSONAL: Biology major with a psychology minor... Enjoys painting, music, hiking, reading and being outdoors... A member of Utah State's Student Athlete Adivory Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes... The daughter of Archie and Mattie Jennings of Nashville, Mich... Born Dec. 11, 1981... Has two sisters and a brother... Her sisters Janette and Amanda played softball at Wayne State University, while an uncle played football at West Virginia (1966-70)... Participated in the 2003 NCAA Leadership Conference... Chose Utah State because of the coaching staff and the possibilities that come with a new program... Would like to teach, coach and travel after graduation. |
