Micha Thompson, formerly Vandervort, enters her third season as an assistant at Utah State. She was also an assistant coach under current USU head coach Jerry Finkbeiner at Oral Roberts for four seasons.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Thompson oversees and coordinates the annual women's basketball camps.

A native of Edmond, Okla., Thompson spent her first two seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Golden Eagles. Her duties included film exchange and film editing coordinator, facilities coordinator, serving as co-director for the ORU women's basketball summer camps and assisting with scouting.

Prior to Oral Roberts, Thompson attended Pensacola Christian College (PCC), where she served three years as intramural basketball coach and athletics director.

Homeschooled, she played prep basketball for the Tulsa NOAH Jaguars. Thompson was a part of National Championship teams in 1999 and 2001.

Thompson graduated from PCC in 2006 with a bachelor's of science in physical education.

Thompson and her husband, Ryan, were married in September of 2012.
