Women's Basketball Falls, 70-64, In Overtime At Idaho Saturday

Junior center Ndoumbe Diop scored a career-high 12 points and had a career-high three blocks as Utah State women's basketball fell ,70-64, in overtime at Idaho Saturday at UI's Cowan Spectrum.
Junior guard Danyelle Snelgro scored a game-high 14 points while senior guard Taylor Richards tallied 13 points for Utah State. Senior center Jenny Gross added 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds while senior guard Jamelah Brown recorded 11 points and seven rebounds, as USU was out-rebounded, 51-40.
Utah State falls to 6-11 on the season and is now 2-3 in WAC action, while Idaho picked up just its second win of the year and is now 2-15 overall and 1-4 in conference games.
Idaho's Yinka Olorunnife scored a team-high 23 points and added 10 rebounds, while Katie Madison tallied 18 points and Sara Dennehy recorded 13 points and seven rebounds.
Utah State finished the game by shooting 31.6 percent from the field (25-of-79) including 5-of-22 (22.7 percent) from three-point range and shot 69.2 percent (9-of-13) at the free throw line. Idaho shot 44.2 percent (23-of-52) including 2-of-6 (33.3 percent) behind the three-point arc and 61.1 percent (22-of-36) at the charity stripe.
USU returns home to host New Mexico State (13-4, 3-1 WAC) on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. and Louisiana Tech (8-9, 2-2 WAC) on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
