The loss was Utah State's season-high fourth straight. It is the longest losing streak since losing five straight during the 2012-13 season. Every loss during the losing streak has been by 10 points or less. Three of the losses have been by six or less points.

For the fifth-straight game, senior guard Jennifer Schlott led the Aggies in scoring with her 12th 20-point game, scoring 24 points to go along with six assists. Junior forward Franny Vaaulu had 17 points and seven boards. Sophomore guard Stephanie Bairstow had USU's first double-rebound game since Dec. 28 with 10 boards.

The Aggies were held without a three for the first time since Nov. 24, 2008 against Montana State-Northern.

UNLV had four players in double figures led by 14 points from Alana Cesarz, who also added seven boards. Danielle Miller had 13 points with Mia Bell and Rejane Verin, adding 12 and 11 points respectively.

Schlott moves up to fourth in the USU record books in career scoring with 1,160 points. She passed Taylor Richards (2005-08) who scored 1,138 points in her Aggie career. With six assists, Schlott is now just 18 away from tying Taylor Richards all-time assist record. Richards had 371 career assists.

The Lady Rebel offense was unstoppable early on as UNLV jumped out to an early 12-6 lead with under 16 left in the half. The Lady Rebels used an 8-0 run to take their first 10-point lead of the game 16-6 with strong play in the paint.

After a Schlott layup, the Aggies were able to cut the lead to 19-15 before UNLV scored five-straight to increase its lead to 24-15.

After UNLV once again increased its lead to nine, Utah State bounced back with 10-straight points to take its first lead of the game 31-30. The Lady Rebels continued the game of streaks with a 6-0 run of their own to take a 37-31 advantage. UNLV hit yet another timely three, this time by Cesarz, to close out the half with a 43-33 lead.

USU was led at the half by 14 points from Schlott. Vaaulu added 11 points and three rebounds for USU. The Aggies led in points in the paint 22-14. Bairstow did not score in the first half, but did bring down five first-half rebounds.

UNLV got 12 first-half points from Rmanii Haynes. Cesarz added 11 points and five boards for the Lady Rebels.

The Aggies scored the first four points of the half to cut the Lady Rebel lead down to six, 43-37.

Back-to-back baskets by Bairstow, her first points of the game, helped Utah State get back in the game. With the sophomore's points, USU trailed 49-45. After a foul and a technical on UNLV's Bell, Schlott made four-straight free throws. Utah State tied it up on an Ingrida Strikas lay up with under nine left.

USU would fight its way back and take the lead, 61-60, after a layup by junior guard Elise Nelson with 8:44 left on the clock. With four minutes left, the Lady Rebels re-took the lead on a Verin layup. From that point, UNLV would not relinquish the lead.
