NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Utah State women's basketball had four players in double digits as the Aggies captured the consolation game of the Radisson Hotel Chatsworth Thanksgiving Classic over host school Cal State Northridge, 75-67, Saturday at the Matadome.

Senior guard Jennifer Schlott scored 27 points, including 18 in the first half to pace Utah State. She also added seven assists, five rebounds and three steals. After recording a double-double against Hampton, Schlott earned all-tournament honors. Sophomore guard Makenlee Williams added 15 points, while both junior forward Franny Vaaulu and junior guard Elise Nelson put in 10 points. Nelson came close to her first career double-double with nine boards.
CSUN also had four players in double figures led by Cinnamon Lester's 18 points. Bernadette Fong had a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Camille Mahlknecht also had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Rebounding continued to be a problem for the Aggies getting its first board with 13 minutes left in the half with a Cristal Turner rebound. The Matadors sharp shooting and rebound helped them jump out to an early 22-14 mid-way through the first half.
The Aggies tied the score 21-21 with nine minutes left after a trey by Makenlee Williams. She followed that with another that gave Utah State a 27-24 lead and forced a Matador timeout. The run swelled to 13-0 before a basket by Mahlknecht stopped the run.

Utah State was able to maintain the lead despite being out-rebounded by the Matadors, 23-17 in the first 20 minutes. The Matadors cut the lead to 12 points after a pair of Fong free throws to make the score 56-44 with just over 11 minutes left in the game. Lister followed that with a three to get the lead under 10 for the first time since 5:11 point of the first half.
A three by Williams jumper hushed the Matadome crowd and put USU back up by double figures 66-55 with 6:28 left in the game. Schlott followed that with a bucket to go up 68-55. The Matadors were able to get the deficit into single digits, but USU was able to make its free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
