LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball has earned the No. 8 seed in its first-ever Reese's Mountain West Basketball Championships to be held at the Thomas and Mack Arena and host by UNLV.

In the first round, the Aggies (14-15, 8-10 MW) will take on No. 9-seeded New Mexico (11-18, 6-12 MW) on Monday, March 10 at 3 p.m. (MT). The winner will face No. 1 seeded-Colorado State on Tuesday, March 11 at 1 p.m. (MT). Utah State captured both of the regular-season meetings with the Lobos. Both games were decided by less than six points.

In other first round action, No. 7 seeded UNLV will take on No. 10 seeded San José State in the second game of the day at 5:30 p.m. (MT). In the final first round game, No. 6 seeded San Diego State will face No. 11 Air Force at 8 p.m (MT).

In quarterfinal action, No. 4-seeded Boise State will face No. 5-seeded Wyoming on March 11 at 3:30 p.m. (MT). No. 2-seeded and defending champion Fresno State will play the winner of the game between UNLV and San José State at 7 p.m. (MT). The final game of the evening pits No. 3-seeded Nevada and the winner of the game between San Diego State and Air Force at 9:30 p.m. (MT).

The four remaining teams will have a two-day break before the semifinals on Friday, March 14, at 1 p.m. (MT) and 3:30 p.m. (MT). The teams will be playing for the chance to play in Saturday's Championship final at 8 p.m. (MT) on CBS Sports Network and earn the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. All first round, quarterfinal and semifinal games will air live on the Mountain West Network (TheMW.com).

Utah State has won three-straight games to end the regular season with wins over New Mexico, San José State and Wyoming. The Aggies are led by senior guard Jennifer Schlott who leads the Mountain West and is fourth in the nation in scoring, averaging 26.3 points per game.
