LOGAN, Utah - Former Utah State women's basketball player Tijana Djukic has signed with the SV Halle Lions of the Damen-Basketball-Bundesliga (DBBL) in Germany.

The DBBL season will begin in September, running through the league's playoffs in April.

"I am very grateful and exited to start the new season with Halle Lions," Djukic said. "It is going to be fun playing the European style of basketball again, and I hope that we will prosper as a team."

A native of Kikinda, Serbia, Djukic spent three seasons on the Utah State roster (2013-16) after playing her freshman year at Miami Dade College. While in Logan, she saw time in 86 games, making 27 starts. Djukic averaged 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, while playing 15.9 minutes per game. Djukic ranks fifth in program history in career blocks, tallying 92 in her three years. Djukic was a three-time academic all-Mountain West honoree and graduated in May, 2016, with a degree in global communication.

Djukic is one of two former Mountain West players on the Halle roster, joining New Mexico forward Khadijah Shumpert. Additionally, Djukic will play in the same league as former Aggie standout Jennifer Schlott, who currently plays for BG Donau-Ries in Germany. Djukic and Schlott played one season together in Logan during the 2013-14 campaign.
