Aggie Women Look to Break Two-Game Losing Streak At Idaho State Saturday

LOGAN, Utah - Looking to break a two-game losing streak, the Aggie women's basketball team takes to the road, facing Idaho State for the second-straight game on Saturday, Dec. 12 in Pocatello at 2 p.m.

Utah State (3-3) is concluding a three-game road trip. The Bengals (2-8) have played five-straight games on the road, finishing the road trip with a 1-4 record.

The last time that USU and ISU met was Saturday, Dec. 5 at the ASU Classic in Tempe, Ariz. The Bengals came away with a 56-53 win. With the win, ISU improved to 2-0 against the Aggies under current head coach Seton Sobolewski. Overall, the two teams have played 25 times with Utah State clinging to a 13-12 series advantage. Idaho State fell to Minnesota on the road, 79-44, on Dec. 9. Idaho State continues to be led by Oana Iacovita who averages 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Utah State continues to be led by junior guards Amber White (12.7 ppg) and Alice Coddington (10.7 ppg), who are the only two Aggies averaging in double digits. Behind her eight-steal performance against Idaho State on Dec. 5, Coddington is rising the WAC charts. She is now second in the league behind Boise State's Jessica Van Hoogen who is first averaging 2.78 steals per game. Coddington is a close second, averaging 2.67 spg and has a total of 16 steals in six games this season.

Following the game against the Bengals, Utah State returns home to begin a three-game homestand, starting with a Noon game with North Dakota State on Monday, Dec. 14. The game against the Bison is school day where elementary and middle school kids can come to the game, complete worksheets and earn prizes.

Utah State continues its Aggie Incentive Plan which allow fans to earn points for attending women's basketball games. Fans can earn 10 points for attending the game against Utah on Friday. Aggie fans can accumulate points throughout the season and earn prizes like USU water bottles, clothing and a USU women's team autographed basketball.
