Of its 44 academic all-WAC selections from its spring sports, Utah State had 18 student-athletes from women's outdoor track honored, along with 12 from men's outdoor track, five from women's tennis, four from both softball and men's tennis, and one from the men's golf team.
2012 (FRESHMAN) -- Competed as a vault specialist last season... Logged a 9.500 to start the year at Utah (8th)...After a fall, scored 8.625 (24th) at the Texas Woman's quad-meet... Notched a 9.375 (17th) at the Southern Utah/Boise State tri-meet... Scored 9.275 (10th) against Arizona State and 9.575 (T-9th) against Sacramento State... Finished with a 9.525 (9th) at Boise State... Set her career-high at 9.600 (21st) at the WAC Championships... Was a USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient and earned academic all-WAC honors.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL -- Competed at Deltchev Gymnastics under Stoyan Deltchev... Nevada State Champion in 2009... Named Gymnast of the Year for her club in 2010... Qualified for Level 9 Western Championship.
PERSONAL -- Major is currently undeclared, but plans to be an oncologist... Daughter of Richard and Sylvia Aufiero... Has one brother and one sister... Enjoys dancing, hanging out with friends, and going on walks... Came to Utah State because of coaches, team and great campus.
