Kaitlyn Betts is in her second year with Utah State’s gymnastics program as the Aggies’ team manager. In her role, Betts assists the coaching staff with daily gymnastics operations, including setting up and prep work for practice.

A native of Canton, Mich., Betts graduated from Utah State in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is now working on her master’s degree in sport and physical education. As part of her master’s program, Betts is required to record volunteer hours assisting with recruiting, apparel and travel organization.

Betts was a competitive gymnast for 18 years and competed at Utah State from 2012-2015, where she garnered second-team all-Western Athletic Conference honors on vault in 2012. She also earned academic all-WAC honors twice (2012 and 2013) and was a four-time USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient (2012-2015).

Prior to enrolling at Utah State, Betts competed for Euro Stars Gymnastics under coaches Peter and Tania Gueorguive. She was tabbed the 2011 Level 10 national champion on vault, to go along with an eighth-place finish on bars. Betts took third in the all-around at the 2010 Level 10 National Invitation Tournament and in 2008, she was the Level 9 regional all-around and bars champion. She followed that up by placing third in the all-around at nationals.

Betts has also coached gymnastics off and on since high school, including working the Utah State summer camp for the past three years.
