CORN SAYS— Allison is coming off shoulder surgery, and we expect her to be at full strength by December. We should certainly see her contributions on floor and beam. As one of our seniors, I fully expect Ally will have her best year ever. Because of the surgery, we’ve refined her skills instead of adding new ones, but I believe we’ll see a significant contribution from her. 2002 (JUNIOR)— Posted a season and career high on beam against BYU (Feb. 6) and Cal State Fullerton (Jan. 4) (9.750)... Tied her top career floor score of 9.875 for the fourth time at Western Gymnastics Conference meet (March 22)... Ranked second on the team in floor average, ending the year with a 9.690... Had three top-three finishes, including an event title (beam)... Competed on beam 14 times and floor 13. 2001 (SOPHOMORE)— One of USU’s most consistent floor workers, she missed the 2001 NCAA Regional meet with a torn calf muscle... Did not score below 9.625 on floor 11 of the 12 times she competed... Posted a career-best 9.875 on floor three times, including at the Big West Championships, earning second place and all-Big West honors... Finished the year with a 9.696 season floor average. 2000 (REDSHIRT)— Redshirted because of a knee injury. CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL— Level 10 gymnast for Jon Atkin and Debbie Connelly at Xtreme Gymnastics... A 1998 Level 10 national qualifier... Competed at Level 9 regionals from 1995-97... Member of the Level 9 Arizona State team. PERSONAL— Biology (pre-med) major... Daughter of Cindy and Lee Rosenthal... Has two younger sisters... Enjoys shopping, reading and spending time with friends. Rosenthal’s Career Bests Beam - 9.750 (2) (BYU 2/6/02) Floor - 9.875 (4) (WGC Champs. 3/22/02) |
