Of its 45 academic all-WAC selections, Utah State had 18 student-athletes from women's indoor track honored and 15 from men's indoor track, along with five from both gymnastics and women's basketball, and two from men's basketball.
2012 (FRESHMAN) -- Named to the all-WAC first-team on floor and second-team in all-around, after the WAC Championships, where she scored a 9.750 (T-12th) on vault, 9.775 (T-12th) on bars, 9.725 (T-16th) on beam and a career-best 9.875 (T-2nd) on floor or an all-around score of 39.125... Made her collegiate debut at the Utah dual-meet placing third in all-around competition with a 38.825... Continued to improve her all-around score, nabbing her first meet win against Southern Utah and Boise State with a 39.225 after a 9.725 (T-12th) on vault, 9.800 (T-3rd) on bars, 9.875 (T-1st) on beam and a 9.825 (3rd) on floor... Best meet of the year came against San Jose State, tying for first on beam and bars with 9.875 on each, setting new career-highs... Finished second in the all-around, with a career-high 39.350... Continued to see success throughout the season, winning the all-around against Sacramento State with a 39.050 after a 9.700 (T-4th) on vault, 9.725 (7th) on bars, 9.775 (2nd) on beam and 9.850 (T-1st) on floor... Set career-best on vault at the Southern Utah dual with a 9.825 (T-1st), contributing to a second-place finish in the all-around... Was one of three Aggies to compete at the NCAA North Central Regionals, notching a 9.775 (T-19th) on vault, 9.700 (T-16th) on bars, 9.075 (40th) on beam, 9.775 (T-22nd) on floor for an all-around score of 38.325 (12th), just missing out on qualifying for the national championship meet... Was a USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient and received academic all-WAC honors.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL -- Competed for Dynamo Gymnastics under Dennis and Shannon Harrison... At the 2011 Junior Olympic Nationals, she placed 10th on floor, 15th on vault, 12th on beam and 12th in all-around... Received the Shannon Miller Award in 2009... Graduated first in her class at Deer Creek High School.
PERSONAL -- Majoring in exercise science... Daughter of Darrin and Pam Landes... Has two sisters... Enjoys hanging out with friends, doing puzzles and sleeping... Chose Utah State for the mountains, snow, and overall atmosphere of USU and Logan.
