BOISE, Idaho - Utah State gymnastics was led by Nicki Felley's all-around performance to its second win of the season against Boise State 194.775 to 192.725 here on Friday night.

Boise State was in a strong position to win the meet following the vault and bars routines with a 49.000 and over on each as a team, but struggled on beam with a team score of 45.975 which proved costly when the Aggies scored a season high team score on the beam with a 48.650 to finish with 48.000 and above on each event.

"It was a great meet for us," head coach Ray Corn said. "But it was not without drama, we had to change the line-up many times due to injuries sustained during warm-ups."

The score of 194.775 is the second highest road score for the Aggies on the season, which will replace a low road score of 192.275 in USU's Regional Qualifying Score which will likely improve the Aggies national ranking, and most importantly their regional ranking which could secure a spot at the regional meet.

The Aggies performed well as a team, counting nothing lower than a 9.600 on any event in the entire meet. The strongest event of the night for USU was the vault with a team score of 48.850.

Individually Meagan Lewis won the only event for the Aggies on the beam with a score of 9.800, in the event USU had the five highest scores. Aggie sophomore, Felley, won the all-around with a career high 39.000, just out scoring teammate Lewis who scored a 38.900.

"We proved that it takes the entire team to finish a season," Corn said. "We need to go home and heal up and get our conference team ready, it is going to be a barn burner."

The Aggies now look to a week of training before heading to Cedar City, Utah for the WAC Championships on Saturday, Mar. 31, at the Centrum Arena with a start time of 6 p.m. MDT. All six teams in the WAC will compete.
