Aggie Gymnastics Hosting Alumni Night Friday
Utah State gymnastics will be hosting Alumni Night on Friday, Feb. 17, when the Aggies take on Sacramento State at 7 p.m.  USU will recognize all Utah State University alumni and will have a special recognition for former Aggie gymnasts.  There will be free admission for alumni association members and their immediate families by presenting their USU alumni association card at the ticket office on the night of the meet.

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics will be hosting Alumni Night on Friday, Feb. 17, when the Aggies take on Sacramento State at 7 p.m. USU will recognize all Utah State University alumni and will have a special recognition for former Aggie gymnasts. There will be free admission for alumni association members and their immediate families by presenting their USU alumni association card at the ticket office on the night of the meet.

All former USU gymnasts who will be attending are encouraged to RSVP via e-mail assistant coach Janet Anson at janet.anson@usu.edu for special recognition.

In its last action, USU posted a season-high 194.875, including the second-highest bars score in school history and posted 15 career-highs. The Aggies' 194.875 was the highest team total under head coach Jeff Richards in his four years at the helm of the Aggie program. USU, which entered the meet with the top bars average in the WAC with a 48.625, registered a season-high in the event with a 49.350 as all six gymnasts in the Aggies' rotation set or tied their career-highs. The 49.350 is the second-best bars score in school history on the event, just shy of the school record of 49.425 in 2003. All four of the Aggies' event scores were in the top three on the season, as USU also posted its season-best beam score of the season with a 48.825, its second-best floor score with a 48.450 and its third-highest vault score with a 48.250, for the team total of 194.875.

Utah State is the host institution for the 2012 WAC Championships on Saturday, March 24. It will be the first time since 2006, USU's first year in the conference, that the Aggies will host the WAC Championships. Overall, it will be the seventh time that Utah State has hosted its conference meet. USU previously hosted the WAC Championships in 2006, the Western Gymnastics Conference Championships in 2002, the Big West Conference Championships in 1992, 1996 and 2000, as well as the High Country Athletic Conference Championships in 1988.
