LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics is set to wrap-up its home season on Friday, March 14, when it hosts in-state rival No. 24 Southern Utah on Senior Night. The meet is set for 7 p.m. at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

At the conclusion of the meet the two Aggie seniors, Christina Nye and Paige Jones, will be recognized by the coaching staff and athletic department.

The Aggies are coming off a season-best performance last weekend, notching a 195.525 in a win again San José State. USU swept all the available event wins, bringing the total number of titles to 19 this season. Utah State is tied at No. 35 in the Troester/GymInfo rankings with an RQS of 194.745.

Four Aggies are currently representing the Utah State program in the Top 100 nationally, reported by Troester/Gym Info. Sophomore Miranda Kerr is leading the team on vault, earning an RQS of 9.830 to tie for 86th. Jones has cracked into the Top 100 on bars with an RQS of 9.820, tying for 95th. On floor, freshman Bailey McIntire is tied for 37th, with an RQS of 9.870. Junior Sarah Landes is among the top all-arounders nationally, ranked 46th with an RQS of 39.065.

With a long history of competition, Southern Utah is a very familiar opponent for the Aggies. SUU just edges USU in the all-time series, leading 39-38. The Thunderbirds are 6-6 on the season, having earned big wins over Boise State and Denver. USU alumnus and former Aggie assistant coach Scott Bauman is in his 23rd season at the helm of the SUU program, with Kari Louthan and Jeff Hunt as his assistants. Freshman Memory Shettles is the only active all-arounder for the T-Birds, averaging a 38.815. Redshirt-senior Alyssa Click is bouncing back from last year's injury, leading the team on bars and beam with an RQS of 9.850 and 9.785, respectively.

SUU is ranked 24th in the Troester/Gym Info rankings with a 195.560. They are coming off a week-long break, most recently competing at San José State. In San Jose, the Thunderbirds notched a season-best 195.925 to get the win. Friday's meet will be streamed live and at no cost for fans. Additionally, live scores will be available. Links to both will be posted on the Utah State Athletics website just prior to the start of competition. Fans can also follow the Utah State gymnastics social media outlets for meet updates. The team has a quick turnaround as they are set to conclude the regular season on Sunday, March 16. The Aggies will compete in a tri-meet at No. 7 UCLA with Bowling Green at 3 p.m. (MT).
