LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics is set to compete in the inaugural Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championships (MRGC) on Saturday, March 22. The meet featuring USU, Boise State, BYU, Denver and Southern Utah will be hosted by BYU in Provo, Utah. Action from the Marriott Center will get underway at 1 p.m. (MT).

Saturday's meet will be televised live on BYUtv (Comcast Ch. 21, Dish Network Ch. 9403, DirecTV Ch. 68/374). In addition to the broadcast, BYU will provide live scoring and an online video feed. Overall, the Aggies are 3-3 against MRGC opponents this season. USU swept Southern Utah in the home-and-home series, while splitting the series with BYU by winning at home and falling on the road. Boise State topped the Aggies at the Oregon State Quad-Meet, finishing second to USU's third-place. Denver handed USU its only home loss of the season in February.

Utah State has finished first in its conference championships just five times in program history. The Aggies were Big West Champions in 1992, 1996, 1998 and 2001, while taking the Western Gymnastics Conference title in 2005. In the final Western Athletic Conference championships last season, the Aggies finished fourth, notching a 195.100.

Following Saturday's championships, the Aggies will await the announcement of where they will compete for the NCAA Regional Championships. The location and opponents the Aggies will face will be announced Monday, March 24 at 1 p.m. Regionals will be held at six sites across the country on Saturday, April 5.
