LOGAN, Utah - Gymnast Nicki Felley (pronounced Fee-lie) earned the Utah State Athlete of the Week honor it was announced on Monday. The award is voted on by a state media panel.

Felley, a sophomore from Flower Mound, Texas, won the first all-around of her collegiate career with a career high score of 39.000 at Boise State. Her effort fueled the Aggies to their second highest team road score on the season with a 194.775, and a second win against Boise State this year. The sophomore scored a 9.675 or above on each event, with a high mark of 9.800 on vault and a career high of 9.750 on beam. She posted a top three placing on vault, beam and floor, while placing ninth on bars.

Earlier this season Felley tied the best score by an Aggie on the floor with a 9.900 against San Jose State. That mark was a career high.

The Aggies will compete at the WAC Championships at Cedar City, Utah on Saturday. Last season, USU finished fourth place in the event.

NOMINEES FROM OTHER SPORTS INCLUDED:

Men's Tennis - Jonas Tyden... Won his number three singles match 6-1, 7-6 against Eastern Washington to improve to 4-4 on the season. The Aggies lost the match 4-3 and are 4-5 on the year.

Women's Tennis - Erin Monson... The freshman won her number two singles match 6-0, 6-1 against Eastern Washington. She also teamed with her sister Lauren at number one doubles and posted an 8-2 victory in USU's 2-5 loss. Monson is now 6-4 on the year.
