LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics will take on five top-ranked opponents Saturday at the NCAA Regional Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Action from Barnhill Arena on the campus of the University of Arkansas is set to begin at 3 p.m. (MT). This will be USU's first team appearance at Regionals since 2007.

The No. 30 Aggies are the fifth-seed in Saturday's meet and are set to compete against No. 5 Utah, No. 8 UCLA, No. 17 Arkansas, No. 24 Arizona State and No. 34 UC Davis. Utah State will open Saturday's meet on bars, moving to beam, a bye rotation, floor, vault and end on another bye.

Arkansas will provide live scoring as well as a video feed for the meet. Links for both will be posted on UtahStateAggies.com and the team's social media sites just before the start of the competition.

Overall, this will be the 27th time Utah State has participated in the NCAA Regional Championships. The last time Utah State participated at NCAA Regionals as a team was in 2007 at the Denver University site. The Aggies finished sixth in that meet with a 192.525. The Aggies' highest Regionals finish came in 1982, where the team took second-place. That squad went on to compete at their fourth-straight National Championships, where they finished ninth. Utah State has finished third at Regionals five separate times.

Utah State has already competed against UCLA and UC Davis this season, while it will be the first meeting against Utah and Arizona State since 2012. This will be the first meeting in program history between USU and Arkansas.

The Aggies are coming off a strong performance at the inaugural Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championships. There, they finished fifth with a season-best 196.075, where there was just a .850 difference between first and fifth-place. Senior Paige Jones, junior Sarah Landes, sophomore Michelle Yasukochi and freshman Bailey McIntire each received all-MRGC accolades for their performances.
