Utah State Gymnastics Completes Staff with Andi Dolinsky
Oct. 6, 2013
LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics coach Nadalie Walsh has completed her coaching staff, announcing the hiring of Andi Dolinsky as an assistant coach.
"I'm really excited to be at Utah State," said Dolinsky. "This is an unexpected opportunity that has already shown to be so rewarding. I'm really excited about the direction the program is going and to be working with Nadalie and Josh."
Dolinsky has a long history in gymnastics as both a competitor and a coach. She attended and competed at UC Davis from 2004-09 and was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Year in both 2007 and 2009. She graduated from UC Davis in 2009 with an English degree.
She continued her education and began her coaching career at Ball State where she was a graduate assistant under Walsh. While coaching from 2009-12, she earned her master's degree in English.
"I am really excited to be bringing Andi on board with my staff. Since she worked for me for two years at my previous institution, the transition has been seamless," Walsh said. "She has great strengths in coaching, recruiting and is all around a wonderful and dedicated person. The staff I have put together is already working together wonderfully to take Utah State gymnastics to the next level."
Most recently, Dolinsky spent a year in Dublin, Ireland where her husband is attending medical school. She received a second master's degree in Medieval Literature and Culture from University College Dublin.
In between her schooling and individual gymnastics participation, Dolinsky has coached at the club level since 2001.
Dolinsky has been married to Ryan McCormick for just over a year. He currently remains in Dublin finishing his education.
The Aggies ended the 2013 season with a fourth-place finish as they exited the Western Athletic Conference. The team returns three NCAA Regional qualifiers in Sarah Landes, Paige Jones and Stefanie Daley for the 2014 season. Michelle Yasukochi joins Landes and Jones as all-conference honoree returners.
